Daily Feeding Amounts

Calculating Daily Portions for your Dog Use our calculator below to find the right portion size based on your dog's weight. However, this amount can vary based on the dog's age and activity level. Typically, adult dogs need 2-3% of their body weight in raw food daily. Note that, this quantity for an adult dog differs from that of puppies, as growing puppies generally will eat larger amounts of food.

Raw Dog Food Calculator

An 8-week-old puppy will eat up to 10% of its body weight each day. By the time a pups reach 50% of their adult weight (around 6 months for knee-high dogs, earlier for toy breeds, much later for giants, sometimes up to 2 years), they consume about 5% of their body weight daily. As they grow to full size (around 12 months for knee-high dogs), this intake should decrease to about 3% of their body weight.

Adjusting Portions over Time Keep an eye on your dog’s weight and energy levels. Adjust portions if needed based on weight goals (gain, maintain or losing weight), health issues and other factors.

Feeding Guidelines by Weight For example, a 10 kg dog needs about 200-300 grams daily. Check our detailed chart for specific weight-based guidelines.
